The Australian Tap Dance Festival is an annual tap dancing event held in the Melbourne area of the state of Victoria in Australia. The festival was held for the first time in October of 2012. The event's main activities are master classes and multiple day residencies for beginning to advanced dancers. Other festival events have included tap jams with live musicians, cutting contests, lectures, discussions, a "learn the Shim Sham dance" class, a "never tapped before" class for the public, social gatherings, and a grand finale concert featuring performances by the master tap dancer faculty.
