History of the BS Chorus Tap Dance

B.S. Chorus is the common name of a traditional vaudeville dance routine from around the 1930's that was often performed by a chorus of dancers backing up a solo tap dancer.

The routine typically included sections such as these:
(1) eight bars of the time step,
(2) eight bars of crossovers,
(3) eight bars of the buck and wing,
(4) eight bars of over the top,
(5) four bars of trenches, and
(6) a "shave and a haircut" finish step.
