Toe Jam Tap Duo
When Omar was 16 years old he and Daniel B. Wooten, Jr. formed a tap dance duo they called "Toe Jam". Both of them had performed in the musical production "Black and Blue".

Star Search TV Show Appearance in 1994
Omar Edwards and his tap dancing partner Daniel B. Wooten, Jr. won 13 times, including the contest for the grand prize, on the 1994 season of the Star Seach television program. The duo won the $25,000 grand prize for a performance on February 22, 1994 that was coached by Van Porter.

Audio Recording in 1998
In 1998, he took four musicians into the recording studio to record an album entitled "Tap Dancin is Music", an audio recording on which he was the leader of a band, and on which his tap dancing was the lead instrument.

Omar Edwards has toured the world with his performance entitled "Afro Feet: Music and Beyond".
