Tap Dancer Konstantin Nevretdinov

NAME: Konstantin Nevretdinov
ALSO KNOWN AS: Constantine Nevretdinova
ORIGINALLY FROM: Moscow Russia
CURRENT HOME: Moscow, Russia
BIRTHDAY: May 8

Konstantin Nevretdinov began tap dancing in 1985 after being inspired by Fred Astair, the Nicholas Brothers, and other famous Untied States tap dancers. He wanted to add his own unique style to the art form and he did that by introducing the surprising art of tap dancing while standing on his hands, wearing tap shoes on his hands.

His first step in this pursuit was to determine the physical limitations of tap dancing on his hands. He realized that bare hands cannot not execute even a tenth of the force of tap dancing feet, so he began developing special tap shoes for the hands.

The first model of his hand tap shoes had a lot of inconveniences and disadvantages, but in the process of experimentation he developed hand shoes that would allow him to perform on his hands, nearly all of the tap dancing steps he could perform on his feet.

He soon realized that the main obstacle to tap dancing on hands hands was the strong physical load hand it put on his hands and shoulder girdle. It was only possible to tap dance on his hands for a few minutes at a time. He addressed that issue by allowing his arms and shoulders to rest between hand tap dancing steps by rolling to his feet and performing acrobatic jumps, splits, and wheels.
