Bob Carroll began tap dancing at age 10 in the town of Everett in Washington State. A few years later his family moved to Los Angeles, California whee he studied tap dancing with Louis DaPron. Carroll appeared as a child performer on the Tim Conway television program. When he aged out of child actor roles he gave up tap dancing for several years. Linda Sohl-Ellison invited him to become a member of her "Rhapsody in Taps" ensemble in 1994. He retired from dancing in 2011 due to health issues caused by diabetes. He moved to Colorado where he died a few years later in a single vehicle traffic accident.
