Information about the recipient of the Astaire Award in 2017.

It was announced in March of 2017 that the annual Fred and Adele Astaire Awards ceremony - usually held in May - would be postponed to a later date. 2017` would have marked the 35th anniversery of the award ceremony.

It was nnounced on March 30, 2017 that the Fred and Adele Astaire Awards were being rebranded and renamed the "Chita Rivera Awards for Dance and Choreography" and that the inaugural Chita Rivera Awards Ceremony would be held in September of 2017.
